Frequently asked questions.

Why choose this service over a physio, chiro, massage, etc. ?

We focus on bridging the gap between rehabilitation therapy and training. We often collaborate with physios and chiropractors to build on their work. They restore function - we build capacity.

In other words, while physios, chiros, and massage therapists focus on relieving immediate tensions, we take it a step further by helping clients address the movement habits and muscular imbalances that cause pain in the first place.

I guide you through structured movement and strength programs to help prevent pain from returning and improve long-term function. We call this approach  “Isolate then integrate”.

How is this different from traditional personal training?

Traditional training often focuses on performance and physical aesthetics. Our service bridges the gap between rehabilitation and fitness - helping people who are already in pain, or on the edge of it, move better, fix underlying imbalances, and build lasting strength.

It’s like comparing two race cars - both look fast, both run well at first. However, one has a few bolts slightly out of alignment. You won’t notice it right away - but after a number of laps on the race track, the car starts to break down. The same idea applies for the body.

Two people can seemingly move the same way - but under the surface, one might be compensating in ways that lead to pain or injury. Our job is to find and fix those issues before they become chronic - or help you work through them if they already have.

Is this service covered by insurance?

If you are coming to us because you are experiencing pain, you should feel a difference within a few sessions. Real change will depend on your effort and consistency, but you will know early if you are on the right track.

How long until I see results?

Do you help with fat loss?

Yes. While our primary focus is helping you move and feel better, We also design effective programs that support fat loss and body composition goals. The difference is in the approach.

Anyone can help you sweat - but we make sure your body can handle the process. If you’re dealing with pain, movement restrictions, or old injuries, we we’ll address those first so you can train safely, consistently, and with fewer setbacks. That’s what makes fat loss sustainable.

This blended approach not only helps you lose fat, but also improves how your body functions - so you’re not just lighter, you’re stronger, more stable, and more confident in your movement long-term.

How do you tailor programs for each client?

We start with a full function and posture assessment to identify root causes, then build a customized program centred around your reason for change.

What’s your cancellation policy?

24 hours notice is required for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session rate.

Do you give out homework?

Yes. We give you the exact drills and routines to do between sessions, so that we can fast-track your progress.
